What a difference a few microns can make?

Some sites reported that the white iPhone 4 was thicker than the black iPhone on April 28, and showing side-by-side photos claiming it was 2mm thicker than the black version. It seemed that you will be disappointed when you want to use the cases designed for the black iPhone during its antenna trials to white iPhone 4, because you would have trouble fitting the white iPhone into the same case if it is actually larger.

After that, someone tweeted Apple Senior Vice President of Product Marketing Phil Schiller to see if the news is really true. According to the reports of 9to5mac, Schiller responded to him like this: It is not thicker, don’t believe all the junk that you read. For what it is worth, the famous magazine, Consumer Reports says they are the same thickness as well. And then I will side with Schiller and “move along”.

Although I’m not sure whether the post we are gonna see next is that the battery last about 30 seconds longer on the white one then on the black, I agree to cnn that a few microns or some thing like this mean nothing for most people.
